Magic Soccer FC

We will be hosting 4 nights of adult pickup games in November and December, leading into the Futsal league season which begins in January. 

These pickup games will be played on Wednesday nights between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM at the Fore Seasons Dome.

• Registration is limited to the first 30 players.
• The objective is to split the pool of players into two groups of 12-15 players.
• Each registrant will then be assigned to play in a 1 hour timeslot, to ensure that everyone gets to play enough during the reserved field time.
• The cost to participate is $20 per player ($5 per night), which covers the field rental expense for the entire 4 week block of pickup games.

Dates of Play:

• November 29
• December 6
• December 13
• December 20

Format:

During each hour, the group of 12-15 can either:

• Play "king of the court" style games (winner stays on), using 3 teams of 5 players.
• Play a normal Futsal game of 20-25 minute halves, where each team has 1-3 subs available.

King of the Court Rules:

When playing "King of the Court" style pickup games, Magic Soccer typically uses the following house rules:

• Maximum game length will be 5 to 10 minutes (agreed upon at start of session).
• The winning team is whoever is leading when time expires, or the first team to score 2 goals.  Whichever occurs first.
• If the game is tied, then the team that has been on the field the longest loses.
• Upon conclusion of the match, the winning team stays on and the losing team rotates off.
• To ensure all teams get to play, a team can only stay on the field for a maximum of 3 consecutive games.  If the team wins again on their third match, then one of two scenarios can happen.  Either the losing team will stay (only 3 teams playing), or both teams will rotate off (4+ teams organized).

Pickup games are NOT refereed, but all Magic Soccer FC Futsal league rules are considered to be in effect.  Please demonstrate good sportsmanship, show courtesy to other players, and be honest about calling your own fouls.

Remember that on the indoor turf you must wear sneakers or indoor/turf soccer shoes.  No outdoor cleats can be worn on the turf inside the Dome.
